Last year producer Aparana S Hosing came up with the Neil Nitin Mukesh-starrer Dassehra (2018). She has now forayed into Marathi cinema with the film Kaanbhatt. This will also be her debut as a director.
The film stars newcomer Bhavya Shinde, who is a fashion model. The film will see him in a completely different get-up.
The recently released first poster of Kaanbhatt shows Shinde seated at a study table. There are some interesting scientific equipment in front of him, along with a lamp and an ink pot and pen. This could indicate that he plays a learned person well-versed with the ancient Indian scriptures.
Speaking about the film, Hosing said in an official statement, “These days Marathi cinema is setting new benchmarks. This film talks and portrays the story of a young boy. [It is] about his dream and desire but destiny has something else [in store] for him for which he goes on a different path. The story depicts the relationship between Vedas and Science. This is the style of the film.”
Along with Dassehra, Hosing has produced Hindi films like Utt Pataang (2011), which starred Saurabh Shukla, Vinay Pathak, Sanjai Mishra and Mahie Gill, and Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal (2012).
The release date for Kaanbhatt has not been set as of now.
