The bouncy number, composed by Vishal-Shekhar, is sung by Dev Negi, Payal Dev and composer Vishal Dadlani.
Student Of The Year 2 song: 'Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan' is colourful, but unappealing to listen to

It seems that Tiger Shroff's feet never really touch the ground in the second song 'Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan' from the Student Of The Year 2 soundtrack. The actor far surpasses his female co-stars, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, in the dancing department.
Visually, the song is a riot of colours and the choreography by Remo D'Souza put the new 'students' in their places. First, it's all slow-motion posturing for the camera and then it's time for some fancy footwork. But the actual song which is composed by Vishal-Shekhar (they also scored the 2012 film) leaves a lot to be desired.
Student Of The Year 2's 'The Jawani Song': Vishal-Shekhar's version is all glitter, no gold
Vishal Dadlani begins with a quick rap and leads to singer Dev Negi lending his vocals for Shroff. Payal Dev sings for both Panday and Sutaria. The tone of the song is flirtatious and breezy, but Vayu's lyrics barely make an impact. In fact, a lot of the song is repetition, of the beat, and the lyrics.
The entire set of the song seems to be one grand, and we mean grand, wedding celebration. It gives no clue why they have gathered to crush grapes and dance. The song further sets up the love triangle between Rohan (Shroff), Mia (Sutaria) and Shreya (Panday). Rohan is seen kissing both girls, but where does his heart really lie?
Student Of The Year 2, directed by Punit Malhotra, is due to be released on 10 May.
