Babo trailer: What happens when a UFO lands in a village full of crazy characters?

Director Ramesh Choudhary’s Babo is an out-and-out madcap entertainer with an unexpected twist.

The story takes place in a village in Maharashtra. Quite a few people in the village are fascinated by a television host Dodke Guruji (Bharat Ganeshpure). Aaba (Sayaji Shinde) is jealous to see his wife being impressed with Dodke. Tatya (Kishore Kadam) is worried to see his grown-up son keeping a photo of Dodke in his books and staring at it. There are other characters, too, who have their own problems.

But a sudden twist arrives in the tale when a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) is about to land in the village and, according to Dodke, the villagers have only 24 hours more to live.

Babo (slang for expressing wonderment) shows promise of being an interesting and funny ride with some crazy characters. We will need to see how the UFO angle is handled in the film. The choice of such character artists is impressive.

The teaser, however, is a bit chaotic as the makers have packed in too many incidents in one minute. Babo will land in theatres on on 31 May.
