Actor Vicky Kaushal suffered a freak injury while shooting for Dharma Productions’ untitled horror comedy in Gujarat last evening. A door came loose and fell on the actor when shooting for Bhanu Pratap Singh’s film.
Kaushal was rushed to a local hospital and later sent home to Mumbai to rest. Speaking to Cinestaan.com, Vicky’s father and veteran action director Sham Kaushal confirmed the incident.
“Yes, Vicky did hurt himself while shooting for the Dharma film," the senior Kaushal said. "He has suffered a hairline fracture of the jaw and has 13 stitches, but he is at home and doing fine.
Sham Kaushal said his son would probably require another 6-7 days' rest before the stitches are removed. "He continued shooting even after the injury. Luckily, this was the final schedule of the film,” he said.
Apart from the horror comedy, Vicky Kaushal has Karan Johar’s Takht (2020) to shoot for. Recently, he signed another film with his Uri (2019) director Aditya Dhar and producer Ronnie Screwvala that is based on the legend of Ashwathama.
Kaushal has had a great two years with successful films like Raazi (2018), Sanju (2018), Lust Stories (2018) and Uri: The Surgical Strike.
