We saw an older version from the year 2010 of Salman Khan’s character from the upcoming film Bharat (2019) yesterday in the film’s first poster. The makers have now come up with another poster of Khan where he is seen as a young man.
The poster shows a glimpse of a part of the story based in 1964. Khan looks handsome and dashing in the poster. His hair is neatly combed with a side parting, and he looks much younger here. Looks like a lot of make-up effort has gone into the look.
The 2010 poster also featured Jackie Shroff. The 1964 poster shows Disha Patani as a trapeze artist. Khan's embellished white shirt also segues into a ring of death where you see cars and a bike racing. Is Khan playing a stunt circus artiste in a portion of Bharat?
Bharat is the story of India told through the eyes of the protagonist who is incidentally also named Bharat. In the title teaser released a few months ago, Khan character said that he doesn’t have a surname as he only wants himself to be considered an Indian, Bharat.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film is adapted from the Korean movie Ode To My Father (2014). This is Zafar’s third film with Khan after Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).
Bharat will arrive in theatres during the festival of Eid this year, 5 June.
