Action star Vidyut Jammwal has been signed on for director Faruk Kabir’s romantic action film, Khuda Hafiz. Produced by Panorama Productions, Khuda Hafiz is slated for release in 2020. The film goes on the floors in July this year.

Said to be based on true events, Khuda Hafiz will be shot in Morocco and Kerala. Though primarily a romantic story, Khuda Hafiz will also have its share of action.

“With incidents based on actual events, this could be one of the biggest and most memorable action thrillers of our time. I am very proud to be part of such a great team to tell a truly gripping tale," the actor said in a statement.

Kabir has to his credit titles like TV series Shockers and 377 AbNormal, a Zee5 original film.

Kabir stated that the film is a work of extensive research.

“It's a subject that's been researched and written over nine months. Vidyut and I are attempting something here that neither of us has done before. So, we will keep our feet on the ground, our vision to the skies and hopefully surprise the audience by giving them more than they expected,” said Kabir.

Jammwal, who was last seen in Junglee (2019), also has Commando 3 coming up this year.
