The song, with singer Antara Mitra's smooth vocals, is a typical mainstream masala dance number. There is nothing memorable about it.
Kalank song 'Aira Gaira': Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur match steps with Kriti Sanon

We had seen a glimpse of Kriti Sanon in the trailer of director Abhishek Varman’s Kalank, which stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Sanon now appears in the song ‘Aira Gaira,’ which has just been released. This is what is known in Hindi film parlance as an 'item' song. Sanon is dancing at a festive occasion that looks like Eid. It’s a typical mainstream masala dance number where the lead dancer, Dhawan, Kapur and the background dancers match steps.
Antara Mitra’s vocals are smooth and attractive. She also brings the right rural or small-town accent that was needed here. She is ably supported by Javed Ali and Tushar Joshi who have given voice to the two actors.
‘Aira Gaira’, however, does not live up to the hype created around it by the makers. Amitabh Bhattacharya’s lyrics aren’t creative enough and DJ Phukan and Sunny MR’s music, while foot-tapping, isn’t impressive enough to continue ringing in your ears after the song has ended.
The trailer of Kalank gave a lot of the film's story away. This song also confirms that Dhawan and Kapur’s characters were friends once.
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film will be released on 17 April. Watch the song below:
