Student Of The Year 2 posters: Tiger, Tara, Ananya gear up for a new session of college

Leading up to the launch of the first trailer of Punit Malhotra's Student Of The Year 2 tomorrow, a series of posters have been released to increase anticipation for the long-awaited film.

Besides featuring the lead actor, Tiger Shroff, prominently, the posters show off the film's two new leading ladies — Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday.

Malhotra takes over as director from producer Karan Johar in this second film in the series.

Yesterday, two posters featured Shroff's character Rohan approaching the gates of St Teresa's college. Today's poster shows the actor as a star athlete, pushing his body to the limits and excelling.

The two new faces, Sutaria and Panday, get matching posters announcing their arrival to this new batch of students.

Sutaria's character is named Mia, while Panday's character is Shreya. It seems from their character descriptions that Mia is more poised, while Shreya is more spontaneous.

Like the first film, which starred Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, the three characters of Student Of The Year 2 will go up against each other to be named the best of the year at St Teresa's.

The stars of the original are expected to make cameo appearances in the second film.

Produced by Dharma Productions, Student Of The Year 2 is due to be released on 10 May.
