The first song from the upcoming Netflix romance, Music Teacher, puts the focus on Amrita Bagchi's character and her big moment in the spotlight. Directed by Sarthak Dasgupta, the film revolves around Manav Kaul's character, Beni, a music teacher who reconnects with his star student who has now made it big.

The emotional ballad is sung by Neeti Mohan, who gives a composed, restrained rendition. Bagchi's character too, never allows her emotions to get the better of her while on stage.

The number, composed by Rochak Kohli, could have taken advantage of the occasion and allowed for the song to score. It could have allowed Mohan to really go for the high notes. The Punjabi lyrics have been penned by Gurpreet Saini.

The song also feature visuals of the former teacher-student meeting again after a long gap and realising their romantic feelings for one another in the hometown set in the hills.

Music Teacher, which also stars Neena Gupta and Divya Dutta, is due to be released on 19 April on the digital platform.
