The John Abraham-starrer Romeo Akbar Walter was released in cinema halls less than a week ago, on 5 April.

The John Abraham-starrer Romeo Akbar Walter got accidentally leaked on YouTube a while ago.

It is not new for freshly released films to get leaked on online video platforms. It has happened quite a few times in the past.

But the case of RAW is unique. The movie got shared online from the official YouTube handle of the film’s producers, Viacom18 Motion Pictures.

Now why would the producers do this to their own film released less than a week ago, on 5 April? The film had a watermark on the screen saying ‘YouTube Copy’.

A closer look revealed that the video was uploaded on 5 April itself and went live today. This means the video was shared on YouTube on the day of release as a private link. Someone in the team appears to have made the private link public today. This also explains the watermark.

The movie was removed from the platform a few minutes ago. The film remained on YouTube for over half an hour but had less than 350 views.

Attempts to reach the producers to find out what had happened failed.

Directed by Robbie Grewal, Romeo Akbar Walter stars John Abraham, Mouni Roy and Jackie Shroff.
