Boney Kapoor has 3 action scripts for Ajith in Hindi cinema

Producer Boney Kapoor, who makes his southern debut with upcoming production Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of Pink (2016); has plans to work with Ajith Kumar in Hindi cinema. On Wednesday, Kapoor took to Twitter to share that he wants Ajith to work in the Hindi film industry.

“Saw the rushes of Nerkonda Paarvai. Happy. What a performance by Ajith. I hope he agrees to do Hindi films soon. Have 3 action scripts; hope he says yes to at least one of them,” Kapoor tweeted on Wednesday.

In his over two-decade long career, Ajith has starred in only one Hindi film. He played a minor role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Asoka (2001).

It’s worth mentioning that Kapoor has already signed Ajith for one more project in Tamil. It’s quite possible that they might join hands for a Hindi project soon.

Meanwhile, Nerkonda Paarvai, directed by H Vinoth, is gearing up for release on 10 August. The film also stars Vidya Balan, Mahat Raghavendra, Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Tariang and Abhirami Venkatachalam among others.

Apparently, it was late Sridevi’s wish that Ajith does a film in her husband’s production.

“While working with Ajith in English Vinglish, Sridevi had expressed her desire that Ajith does a Tamil film for our home production. Nothing exciting came up till one day last year; Ajith suggested remaking Pink in Tamil.  She immediately agreed as she thought it was most appropriate and timely film to make and Ajith would bring all the elements required to make it into a great Tamil film,” Kapoor had said in a statement.

Kapoor’s second project with Ajith will start rolling from July 2019. Reports have already emerged that H Vinoth has been once again roped in to direct this project as well.
