After directing actress Kajol in the upcoming Helicopter Eela, Pradeep Sarkar has now turned his attention to a new project, and a new heroine. The Parineeta (2005) director has reportedly cast Patralekhaa in his next film, Arranged Marriage, which will also be the first part of an anthology of films.
A report in Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, quoted Patralekhaa as saying, "I got a call from dada’s office informing that he wanted to meet me. I am not sure if he has seen my work, but I am a big fan of his films. His Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt-starrer Parineeta is my all-time favourite. So, when he narrated the script, I was really excited to be a part of his vision."
The actress made her debut alongside beau Rajkummar Rao in the Hansal Mehta film Citylights (2014). She was last seen in the web-series Bose: Dead/Alive, again with Rajkummar.
According to the report, the actress will set out on a 10-day shooting schedule in the next month in Bengal.
The director is currently awaiting the release of his film, Helicopter Eela that hits the screens on 12 October.
