The Commando action series is still going strong. The third film in the franchise, Commando 3, has begun production. The film is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Aditya Datt.

Lead actor Vidyut Jammwal, a constant in all three films, shared a few photos from the film's ongoing production. The first image looks like that of the action film’s script. He also put up a photograph of himself planking on a small waterfall.

Earlier last month, the actor thanked his previous co-stars Pooja Chopra and Jaideep Ahlawat for being part of the first film, Commando: A One Man Army (2013). He welcomed actresses Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar onto this new project. Jammwal also revealed that actor Gulshan Devaiah was joining the film.

Commando: A One Man Army was directed by Dilip Ghosh, while Commando 2 (2017) was helmed by actor-turned-director Deven Bhojani. Adah Sharma was a part of the second film as well.

This time around Aditya Datt is director on the third film. The filmmaker, grandson of lyricist Anand Bakshi, has previously directed Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005), Dil Diya Hai (2006) and Table No. 21 (2013). He also directed the web-series Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny Leone.

Commando 3 will be shot in London, England. The film is due to be released sometime in 2019.
