Namaste England poster: Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra take Punjab to England

The film, directed by Vipul Amrutal Shah, is set to be released on 19 October.

The first poster of the long due romantic-comedy, Namaste England, has Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra dressed as Punjabis. Kapoor’s character is wearing a Pathani kurta, commonly worn in Punjab, while Chopra is dressed is looks like a simple Punjabi girl in a bright salwaar-kameez.

The first film in the franchise, Namastey London (2007), focused on Punjabis living in the UK and the sequel now widens its net to England.

While Chopra looks gorgeous in the desi avatar, we wonder if the designers have made Kapoor look more muscular than he really is.

The tag-line in the poster reads - ‘love can travel anywhere’- and it looks like Kapoor and Chopra are travelling to England from the lush fields of Punjab. More will be revealed when the trailer comes out tomorrow (6 September).
