Boyz 2 teaser: Vishal Devrukhkar takes the 'naughty' quotient higher in this sequel

The makers of director Vishal Devrukhkar’s Boyz 2 had made it clear that the 'naughty' quotient of this film would be a few notches higher than of the first film in the series Boyz (2017). The teaser of the sequel elaborates on the film’s content and its characters. 

An attractive teacher (Pallavi Patil) walks down the school corridor looking ravishing in a saree. This is enough for the male students to stare at her and get aroused. One of the boys (Sumant Shinde) hides his state by covering up with his back pack. 

This level of adult comedy is hardly seen in Marathi cinema. In that sense, the film has a chance of opening doors for adult comedy in Marathi cinema if it manages to impress with the content. However, they also need to factor whether the Marathi audience is ready for this genre yet. 

The film carries forward the characters played by Sumant Shinde, Parth Bhalerao and Pratik Lad. The casting of actor Girish Kulkarni comes as a surprise. His funny scene in the teaser is its high point.

Produced by Everest Entertainment and Avadhoot Gupte, Boyz 2 is all set to be released on 5 October.
