It is also the first of the four film co-productions between @DrishyamFilms and @ErosNow heralding a new wave of cinema! #StoriesWithSoul pic.twitter.com/YVuNR8we3d
The film's poster is a graphic illustration of the actor in multiple looks including some iconic ones from Hindi cinema. Some of the looks resemble the iconic Amitabh Bachchan pose, Sanjeev Kumar's police officer, or Vinod Khanna's look from Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971), and Jeetendra during his 'Jumping Jack' years. The tagline to the film suggests that Mishra plays a character actor who is still looking for an iconic 500th role that would cement his name among the legends of Hindi cinema.
The film marks the first of four co-productions between Drishyam Films and Eros International. Kaamyaab will be screened at the Window On Asian Cinema section at the Busan International Festival, which will also mark its world premiere.
The film is the debut feature of Hardik Mehta, who won the National Award for Best Non-Feature film his short Amdavad Ma Famous (2015).
