Made at an estimated budget of Rs25 crore, Stree’s grand total now stands at a handsome Rs40.90 crore. Meanwhile, the Navaniat Singh film has managed a sum of Rs7.35 crore only.

Director Amar Kaushik’s Stree further impressed at the box office on its first Monday (3 August) after a decent first weekend. The film earned Rs9.50 crore yesterday, as per numbers shared by Boxofficeindia.com.

Stree review: When a brilliant cast takes on consistently good comic writing

The film, starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana, earned a total of Rs31.40 crore during the weekend. Yesterday was also a holiday for most on the occassion of Janmashtami.

Made at an estimated budget of Rs25 crore, the film’s grand total now stands at a handsome Rs40.90 crore. Needless to say, it is well on its way to become a hit.

This comes as a relief for actress Shraddha Kapoor since her last four films — Rock On!! 2 (2016), Ok Jaanu (2017), Half Girlfriend (2017) and Haseena Parkar (2017) — didn't do well at the box office.

Unfair to expect every film of mine to make Rs100 crore: Shraddha Kapoor

Meanwhile, Navaniat Singh's Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se continued its poor run at the box office. The film, starring Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol, could not cash in on the long weekend and managed to earn only Rs1.25 crore.

The total earnings of the film currently stands at Rs7.35 crore only. The film is made at an estimated budget of Rs30 crore. Looks like Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is staring at a big defeat at the box office.
