'What's in a name?' said Shakespeare. But Abhiraj Minawala and Salman Khan might have a lot to say on that. The new trailer for Minawala's film, Loveyatri, featuring Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain, plays around the new title of the film.
The film, initially titled Loveratri, was changed to Loveyatri after consideration of protests that erupted among fringe groups. The name conundrum is subtly pictured in the trailer. It begins with a sweet meet-cute of Hussain's character trying to pronounce Sharma's name, Sushrut, properly.
While the struggle to get the Gujarati accent right proves hilarious, the dance takes over as the key portion of the film's theme. Fortunately, or unfortunately, the trailer encapsulates the entire plot of the film. Sharma's dancer moves to London trying to woo his NRI girl, and convince her dad of giving the garba-loving lad a chance. This includes having to perform a spontaneous garba at the immigration to get the officer put a stamp on his visa.
With the right mix of comedy, and catchy music thrown in, the trailer seems to hit the same mark as the original.
Produced by Salman Khan Films, Loveyatri is set to be released on 5 October.
