Katrina’s Suraiyya in Thugs Of Hindostan reminds you of Chikni Chameli: See motion poster

Katrina Kaif's character in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thugs Of Hindostan has been unveiled in a motion poster. So far, only Aamir Khan's look and character has not been unveiled.

Going by the motion poster, Kaif plays the character of Suraiyya. The name brings to mind the yesteryear actress and singer Suraiya Jamaal Sheikh, better known as just Suraiya.

But Kaif's look, costumes and the music being played in the motion poster instantly remind you of her item numbers — ‘Chikni Chameli’ from Agneepath (2012) and ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ from Tees Maar Khan (2010). The actress plays an entertainer who performs for British soldiers.

Thugs Of Hindostan has music by the celebrated duo Ajay-Atul, who, co-incidentally, also composed the music for Agneepath.

This is Kaif's second film with Acharya. She played an important part in his last film, Dhoom 3 (2013). Starring Khan in a double role, the film turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters. The trio of Acharya, Khan and Kaif has returned for Thugs Of Hindostan.

The film has Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh playing Khudabaksh and Zafira, respectively.

Thugs Of Hindostan will hit the theatre screens on Diwali (8 November).
