Shubh Lagna Savdhan falls in the league of Rajshri Productions' films: Director Sameer Surve

Director Sameer Ramesh Surve said his upcoming film, Shubh Lagna Savdhan, falls in the league of films produced by Rajshri Productions. The film, starring Subodh Bhave and Shruti Marathe, is a family entertainer.

“Abhay ji [Abhay Shevade, executive producer] had told me to do this marriage related film only if I ensure that it looks and feel like a Hindi film. I said I will give my 100%. It has turned out to be well. It is in the league of Rajshri Productions’ films like Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1998) and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994),” Surve said during the film's trailer launch.

Speaking about the film, actor Bhave added, “A lot of films have portrayed the institution of marriage. But in this film we have ensured that you would get two or two hours fifteen minutes of non-stop entertainment. Sameer has ensured that the film is a complete family movie.”

The actor also recalled the experience of shooting with an ensemble cast. “So many artists have come together. It was a task to get them together and shoot. I appreciate Sameer for tolerating them for these many days. We have shot in Dubai and Igatpuri. In Igatpuri there were around 15-20 actors together. There were some mischievous people. I was the only one who was quiet,” Bhave said, laughing.

Shubh Lagna Savdhan is set to be released on 12 October.
