It looks like actor Tiger Shroff is setting his eyes on Hollywood. According to a report in the daily tabloid, Mumbai Mirror, the actor met with Hollywood producer Lawrence Kasanoff over the weekend in Mumbai to discuss a possible collaboration.
A source who spoke with the tabloid said the actor had a meeting with the producer and a Hollywood studio head and writer Sean Catherine Derek. Also present at the meeting was Sanjay Grover who has worked at Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM).
The son of actor Gulshan Grover, Sanjay recommended Shroff’s name to the Hollywood team. Sanjay and Shroff have known each other since they were kids.
Shroff, who has trained in martial arts since childhood, is known for his action stunts in his Hindi films Heropanti (2014) and the Baaghi series and Kasanoff has produced action films like True Lies (1994) and Mortal Kombat (1994).
If the project materializes, Shroff will become the latest Indian actor to make his international breakthrough. Actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchn, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and actors Irrfan Khan, Om Puri, Anupam Kher and Sanjay’s father Gulshan have all worked in Hollywood projects before.
Shroff has several Hindi projects lined up for next year. He is starring in Dharma Productions’ Student Of The Year 2 (2019) with Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria, an untitled action film with Hrithik Roshan for Yash Raj Films and has a Hindi remake of Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo in the pipeline.
