Ram Gopal Varma's ‘Bhoot Hoon Main’ song to be recreated for Jaaved Jaaferi’s Lupt

The remix will feature Serbian model Natasa Stankovic along with the film's cast.

The ‘Bhoot Hoon Main’ song from Ram Gopal Varma’s Bhoot (2003) has been added in the ever-growing list of popular songs being recreated for new films. The song, which was filmed on singer Sunidhi Chauhan, will be recreated for the upcoming horror film Lupt, which is directed by Prabhuraj and stars Jaaved Jaaferi, Vijay Raaz, Karan Aanand and Meenakshi Dixit.

Interestingly, the choreographer of the original song, Shabina Khan, has also choreographed the new song. The remix will feature Serbian model Natasa Stankovic along with the film's cast.

Prabhuraj worked with Varma on Jungle in 2000. “I started with Ram Gopal Varma as location manager in 2000 with film Jungle and then met Shabina while assisting him in 2007,” he said in an official statement.

According to him, the song is a result of an old promise the choreographer made. “Shabina was choreographing the songs for RGV’s [Ram Gopal Varma's] film. She had promised me she would do the songs of my film whenever I make my debut as a director and after so many years here she is recreating 'Bhoot Hoon Main' for us,” he added.

Revealing the reason behind choosing this song, Prabhuraj said, “Since the film has horror element, we were thinking of creating a promotional song and then someone suggested we re create the title track from Bhoot since it fits perfectly with the theme of the film. I am happy things have fallen in place so well. The song should be out next week.”

Lupt is due to be released on 5 October.
