Fatima Sana Shaikh is the fiery warrior Zafira in Thugs Of Hindostan: Motion poster

After revealing Amitabh Bachchan’s character Khudabaksh in a motion poster, the producers of Thugs Of Hindostan have now introduced the next thug from the film — Zafira, played by Fatima Sana Shaikh.

The Dangal (2017) actress is in the middle of a war, with bombs attacking fortresses in the background. However, Zafira seems unfazed by the ongoing attacks and radiates with confidence and determination as she prepares to shoot an arrow. 

Zafira is the archery expert in the film. Although clad as a warrior, her look does hint at royalty. 

A press note from the producers, Yash Raj Films, describe her character as 'Fiery and stunning'. "She is an extremely talented fighter and specialises in combat by bow and arrow. Zafira has perfect accuracy and she doesn’t miss a target, ever. Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira brings vigour and freshness to Thugs Of Hindostan,” the note further read.

The actress’ pose reminds us of one of Jennifer Lawrence’s posters from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (2014). While, it can be argued that there are only a few ways of posing with a bow and arrow, the camera angle makes the similarity quite obvious. 

The characters of Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif are expected to be revealed soon. 

Thugs Of Hindostan will be released on 8 November during Diwali.
