Mahesh Manjrekar’s Me Shivaji Park has been in the making since quite some time and is now ready to be released on 18 October. The film was earlier titled Shivaji Park Mumbai 28. Shivaji Park is a locality in Mumbai's Dadar area.

The film has an ensemble cast of veterans like Ashok Saraf, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Vikram Gokhale, Shivaji Satam and Satish Alekar.

Although the plot of the film han not been revealed yet, it will most probably revolve around Shivaji Park. The tagline ‘Nyaydevta andhali aste, aamhi dolas hoto [Lady justice is blind but we could see]' further hints that the film may be based on a court case.

Saraf and Prabhavalkar are sharing the big screen after a long time. They have together starred in well-known films like Ek Dao Bhutacha (1982) and Chaukat Raja (1991) and were recently seen in Neeraj Vora’s tele-film Familywala (2014).

The last time Gokhale collaborated with Manjrekar was for the superhit Natsamrat: Asa Nat Hone Nahi (2016), while Satam is making a comeback to films with this project. His last film was Abhijeet Satam’s Hapoos (2010). The actor has been caught up with his long running television show CID. The cap worn by his character in the new poster suggests that he is playing a Parsi gentleman.
