Karan Kapadia’s debut titled Blank, to be released in January 2019

Karan Kapadia’s entry into the film world was announced at the end of last year. The film will also mark the debut of director Behzad Khambata. The film is called Blank and it will be released on 11 January 2019.

The news was shared by veteran film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter page. “Dimple Kapadia's nephew Karan Kapadia to make his acting debut with #Blank... Stars Sunny Deol in a pivotal role... Directed by Behzad Khambata... Produced by Dr. Shrikant Bhasi, Nishant Pitti, Tony D'Souza and Vishal Rana... 11 Jan 2019 release...” he wrote. [sic]

Interestingly, apart from Karan, Sunny Deol will be playing an important character in the film. The rest of the cast has not been revealed.

The makers have released the title poster of the film, which gives the impression of it being an action movie. This is more so after his official statement on the film last year which said, “I've learnt to ride a horse and the bike. I've been swimming and I trained in martial arts for six months in Bangkok.”

Karan is Dimple Kapadia’s nephew, Akshay Kumar’s brother-in-law and Twinkle Khanna’s cousin. Director Khambata has been an assistant on well-known films like OMG! Oh My God (2012), Boss (2013), One Night Stand (2016) and Azhar (2016).

Blank is produced by filmmaker Tony D’Souza, who is Akshay’s close friend along with Dr Shrikant Bhasi, Nishant Pitti and Vishal Rana.
