Director Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan opened to a below average business of Rs3.25 crore on Friday. The film showed some growth in the next two days as it made Rs4.75 crore and Rs5.75 crore respectively, as per figures shared by Boxofficeindia.com.
The film, featuring Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan, has so far earned a total of Rs13.75 crore. The film is made at an estimated budget of Rs25-30 crore. It seems like it will be a challenge for the film to surpass its budget figure.

It is important for Manmarziyaan to hold on to a decent number in the weekdays starting today and amass good numbers in the second weekend.
The film has a chance of surpassing Kashyap’s highest grosser Bombay Velvet (2015), which earned Rs22.80 crore. However, that film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, was a disaster because of its budget which was over Rs100 crore.
Nitin Kakkar’s Mitron, which stars Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra, registered very low numbers of Rs2.15 crore in the first weekend.

Love Sonia, which was also released alongside, has turned out to be a disaster at the ticket window. The film, starring Richa Chadha, Mrunal Thakur, Freida Pinto and Sai Tamhankar, has made only Rs1.80 crore in the period. The film’s Sunday number of Rs1.15 crore was over two times more than its Saturday collection of Rs40 lakh. However, it has made little difference to the film's business prospects.
