Actress Trisha Krishnan will play a doctor and the mother of a daughter in her upcoming film Paramapadham Vilayattu, director Thirugnanam revealed.
According to sources, major portion of the film has been shot and the only the final schedule remains which will be shot in the 200-year-old Robert Clive palace in Yercaud, Tamil Nadu.
“My film will be the first-of-its-kind Trisha movie! This might come across as a typical statement from a director, but honestly speaking, I am not exaggerating. Trisha reigns as an undisputable queen here in this industry. She does not have to take up an unconventional role, wherein she has to play the mother of a daughter. Despite this fact, she chose to play this role. That is because she felt that the plot of Paramapadham Vilayattu, her characterization and the way the script has been evolved have some uniqueness. That is why she instantly okayed it," the director said.
The director showered praises on the actress saying she left everyone awestruck on the film's sets by getting even the toughest scenes right in her very first take.
Paramapadham Vilayattu in Tamil referes to the game of snake and ladders. When asked if like the game, the film's story too will have twists and turns, he said, "The story of my film will be a game of unpredictable twists and turns and it will be played by the characters in the film. What happens when the right thing is said at the wrong place and the wrong time? Paramapadham Vilayattu will be all about it. Trisha’s character initially will be an innocent one. As the story progresses, it will transform into one of intelligence.”
Apart from Trisha, the film also features Vela Ramamoorthy.
RD Rajashekhar, one of the famed cinematographers in the Tamil film industry, has been roped in for this project. Reportedly, Rajashekhar took great pains to accomodate this film in his schedule. "Rajashekhar was so impressed with this plot that he decided to postpone other films and take up this one," the source said.
Sources further add that the film's shoot will be wrapped up this month and its first look will be released shortly.
