Hrudayat Something Something trailer: This film starring Ashok Saraf, Aniket Vishwasrao appears outdated

The idea of one man dating multiple women no longer appears funny.

When you hear a title like Hrudayat Something Something, it gives you the feeling that the film is a love story. That is because it sounds like the Marathi translation of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). However, director Pravin Raja Karale’s Marathi movie is a comedy about a playboy.

Going by the trailer, the film has Aniket Vishwasrao playing a young man who gets involved with quite a few women simultaneously, each believing she is the only one in his life.

Vishwasrao takes guidance from Ashok Saraf, who plays a love guru in the film. The chaos from the protagonist’s efforts to hide each affair forms the rest of the story.

Hrudayat Something Something appears to be an outdated and regressive storyline. It is not possible to connect with or feel for the main character who just uses pretty women to "have some fun". This is despite Vishwasrao appearing the perfect fit for the character.

The trailer gives hardly any footage to Saraf. In fact, his portions are the same as they were in the 30-second teaser. The film has quite a few female characters but none of them gets proper focus. Acclaimed actor Shashank Shende also makes an appearance in a different avatar.

Hrudayat Something Something will be released on 5 October. Watch the trailer below and tell us if you will watch this film in the theatres.
