Hindi film actor Kay Kay Menon, who celebrated his birthday last week, will be making his Marathi film debut with Ek Sangaychay: Unsaid Harmony. Directed by Lokesh Vijay Gupte, the film stars Rajeshwari Sachdev as Menon's wife.
The first poster of the film, which is just out, features Menon and Sachdev along with a group of youngsters. The scenario reveals that the film explores the theme of the so-called generation gap. The presence of a police van suggests there is a crime angle as well.
Menon, whose mother tongue is Malayalam, had revealed some time back that he was taking Marathi lessons to perform his role in the film.

“I keep watching Marathi films," he had said. "The subjects tried here move me. As soon as Lokesh narrated the script to me, it touched my heart and I instantly agreed to do it. Having stayed in Maharashtra, I have been hearing Marathi and I understand it. I will be learning to speak Marathi for this film.”
Ek Sangaychay is Gupte’s first directorial. He has been an actor in Marathi movies and television serials for over a decade.
Sachdev’s last Marathi film was Welcome Zindagi (2015), which starred Swapnil Joshi and Amruta Khanvilkar in the lead.
Ek Sangaychay will be released on 16 November.
