Ani... Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar teaser 2 focuses on legendary actor’s popularity: Watch

The first teaser of Ani... Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar was more like an appetiser. It introduced the titular character, but he wasn’t seen much on the screen. It was a bold teaser where Ghanekar’s contemporaries were seen speaking negative about him.

The second teaser of the film focuses on Ghanekar, whose character is played by Subodh Bhave. It speaks about the kind of stardom he enjoyed as the first superstar of Marathi theatre. We are told that he was the first actor who enjoyed audience's whistles of appreciation. The moment is shown in the teaser and it’s quite impressive.

He is also the first one who mentioned his name last in the actors’ credits. Hence, the title of the film Ani [And]... Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar.

Ghanekar’s versatility as an actor is also visible here as he is seen playing diverse characters like Sambhaji and a common man.

Apart from Ghanekar, the film shows other stars of his time like Master Dattaram (Suhas Palshikar), Vasant Kanetkar (Anand Ingle), Bhalji Pendharkar (Mohan Joshi), Sulochana Latkar (Sonali Kulkarni), Prabhakar Panshikar (Prasad Oak) and Dr Shriram Lagoo (Sumeet Raghvan).

Directed by Abhijeet Shirish Deshpande, Ani... Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar will be released on 8 November.
