Radha Bhatt, Edward Sonnenblick join Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika

The period film is undergoing re-shoots and two cast members, Sonu Sood and Swati Semwal, left the project last month.

With only three and a half months to go before Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is released, the film is adding new faces to its cast. Actress Radha Bhatt and actor Edward Sonnenblick have joined the historical, directed by Krish.

Lead actress Kangana Ranaut, who plays the rebel queen, has taken up the mantle of re-shooting certain sequences as director Krish has begun work on the NTR biopic down south.

Artistes Sonu Sood, who was to play Sadhashivrao Bhau, and Swati Semwal, who was to portray the role of his wife, left the film due to scheduling and creative differences.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, Bhatt will step in as Parvati, while Sonneblick will play an unknown antagonist in the film.

Actor Zeeshan Ayyub has already been roped in to play Sadhashivrao Bhau. Actor Taher Shabbir will also be a part of the project as a new character Sangram Singh.

Television actress Radha Bhatt was recently seen in the series Zindagi Ki Mahek, while Sonnenblick has been acting in Hindi films for nearly a decade with roles in Dostana (2008), Anjaana Anjaani (2010), Rangoon (2017) and Veere Di Wedding (2018).

Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is due to be released on 25 January 2019.
