Director Nitin Kakkar has now been signed by Saif Ali Khan's Black Knight Productions for an upcoming film which might also feature Khan's daughter, Sara. The film will be a joint venture between Jay Shewakramani's Northern Light Films and Black Knight Productions.

"Nitin and I have been in talks for a film, but it’s in the early stages. We haven’t finalised it yet. The script is good," Saif Ali Khan said in a quote to the daily, DNA

The film will reportedly be a relationship drama focussing on a father and a daughter. While reports suggest that Sara might be playing the role of the daughter, it is yet to be decided if Saif Ali Khan will take up the role of the father. If that happens, this will mark the first collaboration between the father-daughter duo.

Sara is currently awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty's Simmba and Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath. The latter is slated to be released on 30 November 2018, and will mark Sara's debut in Hindi cinema.

Saif Ali Khan, meanwhile, is awaiting the release of his next, Baazaar, on 26 October. The actor also has the sequel to Go Goa Gone, and a film with Navdeep Singh. In addition, Saif Ali Khan will also reprise his role as Sartaj Singh in the second season of the acclaimed Netflix series, Sacred Games.
