Siddharth Roy Kapur has announced the line-up of films from his new production house Roy Kapur Films for the next few years. Apart from The Sky Is Pink, Roy Kapur Films will have four other films and it will also produce content for Mukesh Ambani's upcoming Jio Digital platform.

Roy Kapur Films' second project is the biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma, to be directed by Mahesh Mathai. The film is titled Saare Jahaan Se Achcha and will be a co-production between Roy Kapur Films and Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP. Buzz has it that the producers have approched Shah Rukh Khan, but there is no confirmation on it yet. The film goes on the floors in February.

The producers had already announced Ballet Boys that will be directed by noted screenwriter, photographer Sooni Taraporevala. The film is based on the story of two boys from a Mumbai slum who went on to achieve fame as India's international ballet dancers. Amiruddin Shah, 16, and Manish Chauhan, 22, were trained by Israeli-American mentor Yehuda Maor and were later enrolled at reputed institutions like the London’s Royal Ballet Academy and the Oregan Ballet Theatre in America.

It seems like Roy Kapur Films is keen on true stories. They have also lined up Sindbad, a thriller inspired by merchant navy officer, Audumbar Bhoi whose ship was attacked by Somali pirates. Directed by Vinil Mathew, the script has been penned by Sudip Sharma, the scriptwriter of NH10 (2015). The casting for the same is underway.

Roy Kapur Films will also make a film on the life of Vijendra Singh Rathore, a truck driver who found his lost wife after a 19-month search in the aftermath of flash floods in North India.

“I’m genre-agnostic and scale-agnostic. Instinctively, I react more to drama, human drama, family drama, and love stories than to say, something like horror, but I’m open to all kinds,” Kapur said in a statement.

Roy Kapur Films is also lining up content for Mukesh Ambani’s upcoming Jio content platform. "The really exciting part for me about the Jio association is the breadth of reach that Jio has in India”, Kapur concluded.
