Director Vinod Kapri's Pihu finally has a release date. It premiered at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) as the opening film last year, and is backed by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Entertainment.
The film was initially scheduled to be released on 28 September, but now has a new release date — 16 November 2018.
A chilling feature, Pihu revolves around a child left alone to wander in an empty house one day. The film will also have a new trailer, which will be released on 24 October.
Speaking to Cinestaan.com in 2017, director Vinod Kapri had said, "The film is not really about children, it’s about adults, because the child is in a situation created by adults. We say that every child deserves a parent but I do not think that every parent deserves a child. As an adult, one should behave responsibly towards children but if there is mistrust in a relationship or some false egos etc, why should they give birth to a child? So, this film is for the parents."
Immediately after the festival, the film was picked by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur's banners.
Pihu features Myra Vishwakarma and Prernaa Sharma.
