Three lead actors of Bengali cinema, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Soham Chakraborty and Jeetendra Madnani, will be seen together in an anthology tele-film jointly directed by Raja Chanda, Sujit Mondal and Haranath Chakraborty. The official teaser of the film promises an action-drama with a lot of twists.

First of its kind in Bengali cinema, the tele-film will have three different yet interconnected stories. The first part, titled Bagh, directed by Chanda, will feature Madnani and Sayantika Banerjee in the lead. Recently, a video of the actor, performing all the stunts by himself for the film was released by the producers, Surinder Films. Bagh will reportedly finish at a wedding ceremony from which the next segment, titled Bandi, starring Soham and Srabanti Chatterjee, will take off.

“Three films within a film is an original concept. Also, each of them will have separate stories and actors. It’s quite thrilling for me as I have not worked in such a project before,” Soham told AnandaPlus, a supplement of Anandabazar, a daily.

In Bandi, directed by Mondal, Soham and Srabanti Chatterjee will find themselves in trouble at the wedding due to some controversial photos taken by them. In order to escape the situation, they are forced to leave Kolkata and end up in Varanasi.

Bandi will also feature Bharat Kaul in a negative avatar and Biswanath Basu will be seen as a corrupt police officer with a twist in his storyline. Bandi will end in a courtroom and the final section, titled Khela, will start from here.

Prosenjit will be seen enacting lawyer Agnideb Roy in the last part of the film, directed by Haranath Chakraborty. Santilal Mukherjee, Rajesh Sharma, Anjana Basu, Rittika Sen and Ayan Bhattacharya will also be playing significant roles in Khela.

While Madnani is seen to be engaging himself in all the dreaded action sequences in and as Bagh, Prosenjit seems to be playing all the mind games. From the teaser it seems that Soham’s story might add some comic relief to the plot.

Bagh Bandi Khela will be released in November.
