Singer-music composer Anu Malik was asked to step down as a judge on the singing reality TV show Indian Idol following allegations of sexual harassment by singer Shweta Pandit and a few more women through anonymous posts.  Now, pop star Alisha Chinai has come out in support of all the women who have levelled allegations against the veteran singer-composer.

Speaking to the daily The Asian Age, Chinai has backed all the victims. “Every word said and written about Anu Malik is true. I stand by all the women who have finally spoken up. May they find peace and closure in their lives,” said Chinai.

It may be recalled that while collaborating with Malik on the album Made In India (1995) Chinai had last year accused Malik of molesting her and demanded Rs26 lakh as compensation. Malik had filed a counter defamation suit of Rs2 crore against the singer.

Earlier, singer Pandit had accused Malik of molesting her when she was 15. Pandit, who is the niece of composer duo of Jatin-Lalit, called him a paedophile.
