Queen remakes Paris Paris, Butterfly, That Is Mahalakshmi, Zam Zam reveal first posters


The 2014 Hindi film is being remade into Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam.

The southern remakes of Queen (2014), starring Kangana Ranaut, have all released their first posters today (19 October). Producer-actress Parul Yadav unveiled the four films, including the Kannada film, Butterfly, in which she stars as the lead Parvati.

The film is directed by Ramesh Aravind, while actor Varun Shashi Rao and actress Elli Avram star with Yadav. The producer-actress called "living in the character of #Parvati has been one of the best experiences in my life."

She then unveiled the looks of the rest of the remakes, featuring the lead actresses — Kajal Aggarwal as Parameswari in the Tamil film, Paris Paris; Manjima Mohan as Zama Nazreen in the Malayalam film, Zam Zam; and Tamannaah Bhatia as Mahalakshmi in the Telugu film, That Is Mahalakshmi.

The three actresses shared their versions of Rani, originally essayed by Kangana Ranaut. The actress won a National Award for Best Actress for her performance.

Paris Paris is also directed by Ramesh Aravind, and Varun Shashi Rao and Elli Avram are also starring in this version. That Is Mahalakshmi is directed by Prasanth Varma, with Sanjay Swaroop, Jagapathi Babu and Priyadarshi Pullikonda playing the leads. Zam Zam is directed by Neelakanta, with Shibani Dandekar co-starring with lead actress Manjima Mohan.

The release dates for all four films are yet to be announced.
