The actor plays a gangster in the Amazon Prime original web-series.
Sonal Pandya
The upcoming Amazon Prime web-series first unveiled the character of Kaleen Bhaiya, an arms dealer who smuggles guns in carpets. Actor Pankaj Tripathi plays the ruthless leader.
The next character to be revealed is Ali Fazal's Guddu Pandit, a gangster hitman who is just as ruthless. "Thokne ke na, neeyam hote hai. Marnewala ke baare mein jitna kum jaanoge, thokna itna hi aasan hoga [There are rules to murder. The lesser you know about the target, the easier it gets]."
Pandit says the above line in a voice-over as he executes a row of men, promising to take Mirzapur by storm. Is he going to go up against Tripathi's Kaleen Bhaiya? He surely has the gumption for it.
Directed by Gurmeet Singh, the web-series Mirzapur also stars Shweta Tripathi. The Amazon Prime original, due to arrive soon on the streaming platform, has been created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna. Farhan Akhtar is the executive producer along with his Excel Entertainment co-partner, Ritesh Sidhwani.
