Over the years, actor Shah Rukh Khan has become popular for his quirky sense of humour. He is also someone who doesn’t shy away from making fun of his own films. He did the same during an event to mark the 20 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai yesterday in Mumbai.

During the course of the conversation, Khan jokingly said that he watched the film after a long time and now he did not find it right. “Now I find it quite creepy, actually. Especially the scene where I am hugging one girl and holding the other. And then I am lustfully and very cheaply looking at this girl whose saree’s pallu flies off. Very creepy! It seemed really wrong,” he said.

Director Karan Johar also chipped in to highlight the hypocrisy of Khan’s character. “Actually it’s quite a fraudulent statement you made, which you didn’t live up to. You said, ‘Hum ek hi baar jeete hain, ek hi baar marte hain, pyaar bhi ek hi baar hota hai aur shaadi [bhi].’ But you fell in love twice, you got married twice. So, actually your whole philosophy was fraudulent,” said Johar.

Khan justified saying, "But then I added, ‘Kuch kuch hota hai Anjali. Tum nahin samjhogi.’ Woh maine cover up kar liya tha [I had covered it up].” The crowd broke into laughs following Khan's statement.
