Dhanush confirmed the next project at the press meet for the duo's latest release, Vada Chennai.
Dhanush-Vetrimaaran's next to be a Rs100 crore film

Actor-producer Dhanush is set to team up with director Vetrimaaran once again for a new project. The actor announced the development at a press meet for the duo's film, Vada Chennai, which released today (17 October). Dhanush revealed that the yet-untitled project will go on floors as soon as next month.
Dhanush and Vetrimaaran have so far teamed up for three films, including Vada Chennai (2018), National award winning Aadukalam (2011) and Polladhavan (2007).
The next film will reportedly be based on author Poomani's novel, Vekkai. The story deals with the revenge of an oppressed community against those oppressing them.
In an interview with Filmcompanion.com, the director also revealed that the next film will be a Rs100 crore film. "It’s going be a very big film; a Rs100 crore film which we plan to compress into a budget of Rs70 crore," Vetrimaaran said.
Dhanush is also working on his next directorial which features Aditi Rao Hydari, Nagarjuna, and Sarath Kumar among others.
