Karan Johar’s sixth outing of Koffee With Karan begins with a bit of girl power in the form of stars Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt. The two actresses, who have yet to work with each other onscreen, walked in hand in hand on the set.
In the first promo of the season opener, the main topic of conversation (i.e. the elephant in the room) is actor Ranbir Kapoor. Padukone is his ex-girlfriend and Bhatt is his current girlfriend.
When Johar addresses this to them both, Padukone states, "Don't try and make it awkward, because it was not." Unfortunately, it is followed by a shot of Bhatt burping. Yes, it’s that kind of episode.
The actresses fight over the infamous gift hamper by performing dares. In this case, they have to call a famous actress from their contacts list and get them to speak to Johar. And questions eventually lead to the actresses’ eventual weddings.
The first episode of season six will air on Star World India on Sunday, 21 October at 9pm.
