Men like Hrithik keep wives as trophies, other young girls as mistresses: Kangana Ranaut

While condemning director Vikas Bahl, the actress also took a quick dig at her long time rival Hrithik.

The war of words between actress Kangana Ranaut and actor Hrithik Roshan made headlines for far too long last year. Both the parties not only indulged in a legal war but also publicly slammed each other.

The controversy reached its peak before the release of Kangana’s last film Simran (2017), when she appeared on the television chat show Aap Ki Adalat. The matter, though, slowly died down later.

However, Ranaut is now back attacking Hrithik. The actress has issued a statement condemning Queen (2014) director Vikas Bahl, who has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women.

“Whatever is happening with Vikas Bahl is absolutely correct. There are many people like Vikas Bahl he is not the only one. We still have a lot of work to do it so we should not start the celebrations as yet. We have a long way to go. We have to make this place [world] absolutely safe for woman,” she said.

Further, taking a quick dig at the actor, she added that men 'like Hrithik' keep wives as trophies and also have other young girls as their mistresses. “There are men who make false promises of love and marriage to a girl to get them in to a relationship that is also a type of harassment. There are married men [who] keep their wives as trophies and keep young girls as their mistresses like Hrithik,” actress added.

Now, the big question is whether the actress is being opportunistic by bringing up Hrithik's name again before the release of her upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi or is she genuinely trying to contribute to the ongoing #MeToo campaign in India.
