As a present to her fans, actress Rakul Preet Singh revealed the first look of her role in the NTR biopics directed by Krish. Singh plays the late actress Sridevi in the films. Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and actress Vidya Balan play the late actor NT Rama Rao and his first wife Basavatarakam.

The actress has been styled to match Sridevi's costume from Vetagadu (1979) to a T, complete with the white embroidered sari, matching accessories and white bindi.
Sridevi acted with the actor NTR in nearly 15 films like Vetagadu (1979) and Bobbili Puli (1982). Singh plays Sridevi in a cameo at the height of her south career with films in different industries.
Just last week, it was announced that the biopic would be split into two films. The first part, called NTR Kathanayakudu is due to be released on 9 January 2019, while the second part, called NTR Mahanayakudu, is due to be released on 24 January 2019. The second part will clash with Krish’s other period film, the historical Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi (2019) which is also releasing on the same day.
Besides Nandamuri Balakrishna and Vidya Balan, artistes Rana Daggubati, Keerthy Suresh, Mahesh Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Prakash Raj and Ravi Kishen are also part of the cast.
