Actress Tanushree Dutta has claimed that her car was attacked by goons in 2008 after she refused to shoot an item number with Nana Patekar for Horn 'Ok' Pleassss (2009). The actress had walked away from the film's sets alleging Patekar of sexually harassing her.
Now a 10-year-old video of the incident has surfaced on the internet where a large group of unidentified men can be seen vandalising her car, while she is in it, trying to leave the sets with her parents.
The goons are seen attacking the car from all four sides. They smash the windshield and deflate one of the tyres. Surprisingly, a media professional can also seen attacking the car. He smashes the glass window with his camera and later deflates a tyre. Dutta's father appears visibly scared, while she is seen putting her hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down.
In a recent interview, Dutta has alleged that the goons belonged to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and that they were called in by Patekar. “Before I could realise, the production team was banging on the door of my vanity van. But my parents and I tried to drive off, the MNS had arrived and they tried breaking the car. One of their guys got on the roof-top of the car and started jumping. The gates were closed. Instructions were given to not let my car go out. It was horrifying. Thankfully, the police arrived," the actress had said.
In another 10-year-old news video of the incident, Rakesh Sarang, the director of the film, is heard slamming Dutta. “Leave alone work with her, I won’t even see any film starring Tanushree Dutta,” he said.
