Tamil star Vikram, last seen playing a duty-conscious police officer in Saamy Square (2018), will next be seen in the thriller Kadaram Kondan, directed by Rajesh M Selva.
On Tuesday, the makers unveiled the first-look poster of the film on the occasion of Diwali.
The poster gives us a glimpse of Vikram’s character. Going by the first impression, he looks menacing.
The poster features Vikram sporting a thick salt-and-pepper beard, a slick hairdo and shades, his hands cuffed together in what appears to be a smoke backdrop.
The industry grapevine is that the film could be a remake of Hollywood thriller Don’t Breathe (2016). Going by the first-look poster, one can’t rule out the possibility.
Kamal Haasan, who is bankrolling the project under his Raajkamal Films banner, took to Twitter to share the poster. It’s worth mentioning that Rajesh Selva is Haasan’s long-time associate and he had also directed the latter in Thoongaavanam (2015), the Tamil remake of the French thriller Nuit Blanche (2011).
Kadaram Kondan also stars Akshara Haasan and Pooja Kumar in crucial roles. It is rumoured that the film is being shot predominantly in Malaysia.
During the launch of the project in August, it was mentioned that this happens to be the 45th production of Raajkamal Films. The film, which will be dubbed and released in Telugu, has music by Ghibran.
Upon completion of this project, Vikram will gear up for the shooting of the Rs300 crore magnum opus Mahaveer Karna, to be directed by RS Vimal, best known for helming the Malayalam film Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015).
