Badhaai Ho review: Hilarious, earnest and a complete joy

Badhaai Ho was already Khurrana’s most successful film, but the record is now an icing on the cake.

“You don’t know what the public wants. Who would have expected Stree to make Rs130 crore nett. And now there is Badhaai Ho. We have witnessed two big successes with the likes of Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana, who were not even stars. The backbone of any success has to be the engagement and entertainment factor that the story provides. Stree, Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho are examples of it,” film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi told Cinestaan.com.

Made at an estimated budget of Rs30 crore, Badhaai Ho was released in more than 2,000 screens in India.
