Katrina Kaif preps for Bharat with a harmonium

Even though it was a not-so flattering effort, Salman Khan uncovered the lyricist in him with Race 3 (2018), as he penned 'Selfish' and 'I Found Love' songs for the action drama. Given that he is one of the producers of Bharat, one may not be surprised if Khan decides to pen another song or take up singing too for the upcoming film.

However, looks like there could be a surprise in store with regards to his co-star Katrina Kaif. The actress recently posted an Instagram story with a picture of herself, sans makeup, playing the harmonium and has titled it as 'Bharat prep'.

This has already lead to speculations on whether Kaif would be singing in the Ali Abbas Zafar film.   

The music of Bharat is scored by Vishal-Shekhar. Cinetsaan.com spoke to Shekhar Ravijani to confirm whether Kaif would be making her singing debut with Bharat. However, the composer merely replied, “Not that I know of.”

Since Shekhar seems clueless, perhaps Kaif was just simply playing the harmonium. However, it should also be remembered that filmmakers and artistes often deny a particular a news only to keep it under wraps. Tubelight (2017) director Kabir Kahn had dismissed reports of Shah Rukh Khan making a cameo in the film. But as it turned out, Shah Rukh did indeed make a special appearance.

So, it would be too soon to rule out the possibility of Kaif trying her luck at singing. For now though Kaif is gearing up for the release of Thugs Of Hindostan that hits the screens on 8 November. Bharat will be released in 2019 on the ocassion of Eid.
