Actress Sonali Bendre has been going through some tough times, but the sight of the actress enjoying Priyanka Chopra's bridal shower is optimistic. Bendre posted pictures of herself alongside Chopra and Neetu Kapoor at the party which took place at the famed Tiffany's cafe in New York on 29 October.
Bendre wrote on her post, "It's always lovely to be part of someone's special moment and more so when it's a dear friend. What a fabulous evening @priyankachopra!!! Your bridal shower was filled with so much love and laughter. I wish all that and more for you as you take this next big step. Big hug and much love." Calling her red dress a sign of her 'rebirth' Bendre said, "P.S. it felt so great and also somewhat strange to wear a bright colour again! #RedIsTheColourOfRebirth"
The bridal shower also saw some prominent celebrities in Lupita Nyong'o and Kelly Ripa in attendance. Organised by her friends, Mubina Rattonsey and Anjula Acharia, the party saw Chopra don a stunning Marchesa feathery dress with a Tiffany's diamond necklace to boot.
It was also a nice change for Bendre who has been undergoing chemotherapy for her cancer treatment. The actress was flanked by Neetu Kapoor, who is also in the US accompanying husband, actor Rishi Kapoor. Rishi is also undergoing treatment for an unspecified illness in New York.
Bendre had recently thanked Chopra for 'lifting her spirits' and helping to pick out the perfect wig to cope with chemotherapy.
Chopra on the other hand is currently preparing for her upcoming wedding with singer Nick Jonas. The couple were engaged on 18 August this year.
Jonas and Chopra are reportedly getting married on 2 December in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan palace in Jodhpur, followed by a Christian wedding.
Reports suggest the sangeet ceremony is likely to be held on 30 November, where the couple will also perform.
