At the liveathon hosted by Priyanka Chopra at Facebook Mumbai's office on Tuesday (27 November), actress Janhvi Kapoor revealed that her sister, Anshula Kapoor, was the victim of vile rape threats online after she refused to help Janhvi on her recent stint on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan. While the revelation has been surprising for audiences, Arjun Kapoor has hit out against the offenders online.

Writing on his Twitter, Arjun declared, "Something I assumed was an absolute non issue on Koffee With Karan has escalated into @anshulakapoor being abused & I can’t be bothered by protocol anymore. F**k all those trolls who wish harm to my sister. I hope ur mom or sister never have to go thru what u have put us thru.."

The 'non-issue' was evidently Karan Johar pitting Arjun and Janhvi against each other on the episode. The host challenged the guests to call a loved one and get them to say 'Hey Karan, what's up' on live television. With Arjun screaming behind her, Janhvi was unable to get Anshula to say the words resulting in her loss.

Evidently, this led to several vile and offensive bullying against Anshula online. Speaking with Priyanka Chopra on her liveathon about cyber bullying on social media, Janhvi said, "And it was just weird to me. As people are faceless on social media, they feel they can have opinions that sometimes cross a moral line."

While Arjun responded immediately after the revelation, host Johar also asked the offenders to immediately cease the 'intense negativism'.

On the liveathon, Priyanka Chopra and Richa Chadha also spoke about the evils of facing abuse and offensive comments online every day.
