Kriti Sanon shares first look of Luka Chuppi to celebrate Kartik Aaryan's birthday

With around five weeks to go for 2018 to end, the anticipation for films to be released in 2019 has already begun. Actress Kriti Sanon kicked it off with the first image from her upcoming film, Luka Chuppi, co-starring actor Kartik Aaryan, and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films.

Sanon wished Aaryan "all the happiness and success in the world" and said she was glad to have found a lovely friend in him.

The film, which is set in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, follows Aaryan as star TV reporter who goes up against a headstrong local girl (Sanon), who has returned to her hometown. This will be director Laxman Utekar's first Hindi film. He previously directed Marathi films Tapaal (2014) and Lalbaugchi Rani (2016).

As a cinematographer, Utekar has shot Hindi films like Dear Zindagi (2016), Hindi Medium (2017) and 102 Not Out (2018).

Luka Chuppi, which also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Vinay Pathak, is due to be released on 29 March 2019.
